Finding an appropriate outfit to wear to court is the hardest thing I’ll let myself deal with all day.
It’s pretty difficult.
Boyfriend arrested at NATO, brother in a car accident, kicked out of the house, silent treatment from family, childhood friend dead. In that order.
If you want to throw “gramma’s got cancer” on me, then you best do it now while everything else feels so surreal.
I don’t feel so sad, everything has been working itself out just fine, it seems, but I just can’t even believe that any of that was even possible. Welp, best to get it all out of the way at once, amirite?
I’ll be fine, at least I know that for sure.

On Sunday, May 20th, 2012, at the anti-NATO demonstrations, a few very unfortunate people were arrested. Some were attacked and some were brutalized, and just as unfortunate, some were much less lucky than others in the coming ordeal.
One of the protesters attacked and detained was my boyfriend Alex. It’s disgusting to see how the media has framed the event, and the effect it’s had on him, his family, friends, and myself. However, Alex was on the luckier end of the spectrum and is now home safe, awaiting his court date.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, though, sits a man just 21 years-old, named Christopher French, who is undoubtedly suffering. Chris was arrested for an alleged assault on an officer, which has been exaggerated beyond imagination. He is currently being held in Cook County jail on an outrageous $250,000 bond, and needs any and all help that we can give him.
Show your support. Reblog, pass the word on; write to Chris, donate to the fund, just do anything you can to help, because right about now, we’re all the hope he’s got and he needs us.
Chris, without his much needed eyeglasses.

This is Burton Olivier’s back. He’s the person who wrote to me and asked if I’d write a comic for his back… and I said yes, if it could also do some good for the CBLDF. And then I asked who he’d want to draw it, and he said, David Mack. So I asked David, who also said yes.
I wrote a poem about words written to be tattooed…
